Private Trading

Optional anonymous purchasing using pseudonymous Profile IDs. The seller never sees your name, email, or company.

Overview

Private Mode is an optional feature that lets you buy datasets anonymously. When enabled, your purchases go through a separate balance and the seller only sees a pseudonymous Profile ID.

This is useful for competitive research, stealth projects, or any situation where you do not want to disclose what data you are acquiring.

How it works

  1. 1

    Enable Private Mode

Go to your dashboard settings and toggle Private Mode on. A pseudonymous Profile ID (P-xxxxx) is generated for you.

  2. 2

    Fund your private balance

Top up your private balance via Stripe. This balance is separate from your regular account and is used exclusively for anonymous purchases.

  3. 3

    Purchase anonymously

At checkout, select "Pay privately." The dataset is purchased using your private balance. The seller sees only your Profile ID.

  4. 4

    Download

Files are available for immediate download from your dashboard, same as a regular purchase. Private purchases appear in a separate section.

Profile IDs

When you enable Private Mode, the platform generates a unique pseudonymous identifier in the format P-xxxxx. This ID is used in place of your name for all private transactions.

  • Each user gets one Profile ID that persists across purchases
  • The ID cannot be traced back to your real identity by other users
  • Sellers see the Profile ID and purchase details, nothing else

Use cases

  • Competitive research -- Purchase training data without competitors knowing what you are building.
  • Stealth projects -- Acquire datasets for confidential R&D before public announcements.
  • Corporate procurement -- Build AI training pipelines discreetly during early-stage development.
  • Academic privacy -- Researchers can procure data without institutional visibility.
